Chalco to Make More Acquisitions of Aluminium Makers
BEIJING, Jan 04, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (Chalco), the country's biggest aluminium maker and the world's No.2 alumina producer, will acquire more primary aluminum companies under the control of its parent CHINALCO.
Hong Kong-listed Chalco has planned to issue shares in the domestic Shanghai stock market, and to swap and absorb shares of its two subsidiaries, the aluminium smelter Lanzhou Aluminum Co Ltd and alumina maker Shandong Aluminium Industry Co Ltd, both trading at the Shanghai stock exchange.
Upon completion, the two subsidiaries will be delisted on the stock market ...
