SA: Hicks enters fifth year detained at Guantanamo Bay

ADELAIDE, Jan 10 AAP - David Hicks, shackled and blindfolded, was frogmarched into
Guantanamo Bay five years ago.
The Adelaide man was described by Australia's then Attorney-General Daryl Williams
"as dangerous as a person can be in modern times."
Hicks and other Guantanamo detainees were "the worst of the worst" according to the
United States' then Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
US President George W Bush simply called Hicks and his fellow inmates "bad people."
But surely none of the politicians would have thought that five years on, Hicks would
still be detained at ...
