SA: Hicks still at Guantanamo Bay, five years later

ADELAIDE, Jan 12 AAP - David Hicks, shackled and blindfolded, was frogmarched into
Guantanamo Bay five years ago.
The Adelaide man was described by Australia's then attorney-general Daryl Williams
"as dangerous as a person can be in modern times".
Hicks and other Guantanamo detainees were "the worst of the worst" according to the
United States' then defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
US President George W Bush simply called Hicks and his fellow inmates "bad people".
But, surely none of the politicians would have thought that five years on, Hicks would
