BASK: Joyce aiming high as Gold Coast coach

GOLD COAST, Jan 18 AAP - It's a brave move for coach Brendan Joyce to predict a top
four finish for a Gold Coast NBL team that hasn't even been assembled but the former Wollongong
mentor has never shied away from a challenge.

The newly-formed franchise has only eight months to string together a competitive outfit
before the 2007/08 season begins in September.

But the man who turned the Hawks from NBL easybeats into 2001 champions reckons he's
up to the task.

Australian assistant coach Joyce was asked his expectations of the yet-to-be-named
team at a press conference on the Gold Coast ...
