NSW: Iemma defends community reps on judicial commission

SYDNEY, Jan 21 AAP - Appointing community members to the NSW Judicial Commission to
review complaints against judges and magistrates will help it better reflect community
values, Premier Morris Iemma says.
Judges accused of misconduct must appear before the commission, which is staffed by
three current or retired judges.
But Mr Iemma says he will add two representatives of the community to the commission.
One will most likely be a representative of a victims-of-crime group and the other,
yet to be announced, will be an alternative member to ensure the community is ...
