Peace Hotel to Be Rebuilt

SHANGHAI, Jan 26, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Jin Jiang Hotels, China's leading hotel operator, plans to invest CNY 450 million to reconstruct the Shanghai Peace Hotel because of its out-of-date facilities.

The project will start in the first half of 2007 and last two years. Its original style will be preserved, said sources from Jin Jiang Hotels.

Insiders believe that the Peace Hotel is likely to suffer a loss of USD 12.5 million during the period of reconstruction.
