Qld: Prominent artist faces court over art heist
A nationally acclaimed artist has appeared in a Brisbane court over an alleged art heist.
46-year-old RICHARD NOEL DUNLOP has faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court for the first
day of a committal hearing .. accused of stealing more than 2.6 million dollars worth
of artworks from other prominent Australian artists.
It's alleged he stole over one thousand-200 pieces .. mostly paintings .. between 1994 and 2005.
He's been charged with more than 50 offences .. including stealing .. break and enter
.. bringing stolen goods into Queensland .. fraud and forgery.
He wasn't required to enter a plea ...
