Arnout Wellink, a member of the European Central Bank council, said the call by the hedge fund TCI Fund Management to break up ABN AMRO Holding, the largest Dutch bank, is a ''bridge too far.''The Netherlands Central Bank is ''closely'' following developments regarding TCI and ABN AMRO, Wellink said. A Dutch central bank spokesman, Tobias Oudejans, confirmed comments that Wellink had made during an interview that appeared in the newspaper NRC Handelsblad on Saturday.
