Memo: CASCO BAY HIGH SCHOOL THE SCHOOL opened in Portland the fall of 2005. It was funded in part by a three-year $600,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. EXPEDITIONARY LEARNING is an educational model promoted by Outward Bound USA. It encourages in- depth, interdisciplinary study of subjects both as individuals and in groups.
