Six-member family bluegrass band Cherry-holmes has been bringing down houses from the Grand Ole Opry to the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival.

In 2005, this high-energy band was named Entertainer of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. On Wednesday, PCA Great Performances presents the ensemble in concert at Portland's Merrill Auditorium.
