IPOH: When checking her UPSR result slip four years ago, Noorliyana Yasira Mohd Noor was stumped when she noticed that she had failed Fardu 'Ain Basics.
It was not so much the offending grade which upset her but the fact that she was graded for a subject she never took.
Following her father's objections, Noorliyana had stopped attending religious classes in her school since Year Four. As such, she had not expected to be graded in the subject for the UPSR and certainly not expected to see it in her result slip.
