East Siberia-Pacific Pipeline Construction Plan to Close

BEIJING, Apr 02, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- A construction plan for the Chinese section of the East Siberia-Pacific pipeline is expected to be final before 2007-end.

The East Siberia-Pacific pipeline covers an overall length of 5,000 kilometers. The whole project is divided into two phases.

The phase II project, with an investment of USD 6.5 billion, extends from Taishet to Skovorodino and will be accomplished at the end of 2008. It can transport 30 million tons of oil a year.
