Thursday, April 26, 2007 -- Enriched with butter and sour cream, this sweet cake was a treat that my mother baked for Shabbat breakfast or for Shavuot or other festive occasions when dairy foods were on the menu. Since it keeps well, she baked a big cake, and when we were lucky, there was some left for after-school snacks.
