If we "eat with our eyes," why aren't Brussels sprouts more popular?

Cute is a word that some cooks use to describe the small vegetables that look like tiny cabbages.

But whether you like this cute vegetable probably depends on how it was prepared the first time you tasted it. They can be bitter and limp if overcooked, but if properly prepared, they have a crisp, tender and nutty flavor and make a delightful side dish.
