BLANTYRE, Malawi, May 15, 2007 (IPS/GIN) -- The governments of
Malawi and South Africa are working out the details of a trade deal
that could stimulate business in both countries.
Officials signed a preliminary agreement last week to pave the
way for the establishment of a Joint Permanent Commission of
Cooperation between the two countries. The commission would seek
to enhance socioeconomic development in the two southern African
states.
Despite being long-time trade partners, the countries had not
formalized their relationship until last week. South Africa's
