Fed: Police raid overshadows Liberal meeting

SYDNEY, June 2 AAP - The Liberal Party's last big get-together before this year's federal
election has been overshadowed by a police raid on the party's state headquarters in Queensland.
Senior Liberals attempted to play down the police investigation into the party's state
director Geoff Greene and three federal MPs over alleged electorate allowance rorting.
But the Australian Federal Police raid yesterday took the gloss off the Liberal Party's
federal council meeting in Sydney, where Prime Minister John Howard and Treasurer Peter
