MESDAQ'S Datascan Bhd, a supplier of electronic point-of-sale products, may buy rivals to expand abroad and, chances are, it may not pay dividends in current fiscal 2007 due to the anticipated capital outlay.

To have a firmer grasp of its clientele, Datascan is also luring its traditionally one-off buyers into longer-term relationships, thus, adding more predictability to the seller's earnings.
