AFTER the fiasco of the proposed Manchester United tour of the country, I implore the Malaysian footballing authorities and Government to turn the spotlight on the national team.
I believe the national football players have become the victims in this sordid affair, and through no fault of theirs.
Our national team will be playing in Asian football's showpiece event in our very own backyard and it is high time Malaysians threw their full support behind the national team.
