Contempt case against law firm set for Sept 27

KUALA LUMPUR: Hearing of a contempt charge against law firm Shearn Delamore & Co and its 38 partners will be heard on Sept 27.
Also named as defendants are the firm's client, Standard Chartered Bank (M) Bhd and the bank's director and manager, Shayne Keith Nelson.
The charge was for alleged interference in justice in the proceedings between the bank and businessman Datuk Seri Maung Ng We @ Lim Yong Tong, who is Atlan Holdings Berhad chairman and owner of Blakes Hotel in London.
Maung filed a RM160 million defamation suit against the bank on July 20, 2000.
