Golf: Webb aiming to lift Australian women's stocks

SOUTHERN PINES, North Carolina, June 27 AAP - Australian women's golf has long lagged
behind the men for depth of talent, and Karrie Webb aims to do something about it.

The world No.2 has spoken with Golf Australia, the country's administrative body, and
is taking on a mentoring role.

"I'm going to get involved a little bit more with Golf Australia, and get to know a
lot of the younger girls, and hopefully give them good advice," Webb said before the start
of the US Women's Open starting Thursday night Australian time.
