Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, Education June 22, 2007 Mr. Chairman and Members
of the Committee: The Fiscal Year 2008 budget includes $637,406,000 for
the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. INTRODUCTION Lives
saved by environmental health research can be counted in millions. By the
Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) estimates on air pollution alone,
