THE changing eating habits of Great Indian Middle Class have spawned food-related activities and growth worth millions.
Statistics in April indicate a 55 per cent growth in "food products" compared with a year earlier. Not surprising, considering that at least 300 million people live in cities and/or belong to the vast middle class.
There is a shift towards eating out and a widening of eating choices. Which is saying a lot.
For Indians, by and large, are difficult eaters. They want homemade food even while on tour.
