When it comes to fine dining, Garden State residents are happy to keep it close to home.
A statewide poll conducted by Monmouth University and New Jersey Monthly has found that Garden State residents think New Jersey restaurants are every bit as good — or better — than the big city eateries in New York or Philadelphia. The poll found that:
* 41 percent of New Jerseyans eat out at least once a week.
* 41 percent said Italian food is their favorite, with American (17 percent), seafood (9 percent), Chinese (6 percent) and steak (5 ...
