BOC Gained More Profits in Financial Market in H1

BEIJING, Sep 06, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Bank of China, one of the big four state lenders in the country, realized profit before tax of CNY 10.799 billion from financial market business in the first six months of 2007, up 83.88 percent year on year.

The profit accounted for 21.29 percent of the bank's total, versus the 16.75 percent a year ago.

In the first half, BOC's share in short-term financing bond market rose by 2.7 percent than a year ago, and incomes derived from wealth management products surged as much as 99.68 percent.
