Security September 6, 2007 Introduction Chairman Thompson, Ranking Member
King and distinguished Members of this Committee: Thank you for providing
me the opportunity to testify today on the National Applications Office
(NAO) and the civil rights and civil liberties implications of its work.
The work undertaken by the new NAO within our Department will be an asset
to the country`s homeland security effort, and NAO will reach its highest
