Vic: Costello calls on Labor to reveal tax policy
MELBOURNE, Oct 2 AAP - Treasurer Peter Costello has challenged Labor to tell Australians
what it intends to do with its tax policy ahead of the election.
Labor says it will set up an expenditure review committee within the first six months
if elected this year, having identified areas where savings could be made.
But Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd has declined to outline the party's plans for any
increase in the projected budget surplus in the official pre-election economic and fiscal
outlook.
