(The Crimson White) (U-WIRE) TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- All University of Alabama faculty members are required to designate office hours for students to reach them. But some professors say students rarely take advantage of those hours.
James Mixson, an assistant history professor, said he does not have many students come by during his office hours.
"There are some for sure, [but] it's not as if a student comes by every day," Mixson said.
According to the UA faculty handbook, faculty members must set aside "regular and reasonably convenient office hours" to answer students' inquiries and to advise them. There is no specific amount of time faculty members ...
