Paos owner emerges as biggest shareholder in Asia Poly

DATUK Lim Tong Yong, owner of Paos Holdings Bhd, Malaysia's largest soap maker, has more than tripled his stake in Asia Poly Holdings Bhd to 32 per cent.

This makes him the single biggest shareholder in the company, a maker of cast acrylic sheets, after the previous major shareholder cut his holdings.
Teoh Cheng Chuan, the company's managing director had owned 59.82 per cent of Asia Poly as at July 31 2007. He cut his stake to 30 per cent by selling 26.2 million shares on October 2.
