Sony Financial gained 3.8 percent on its first day of trading in Tokyo after raising 320 billion, or $2.7 billion, in the largest initial public offering in Japan this year.
The stock closed at 415,000 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, after rising to as high as 424,000 earlier. The insurance unit is Sony's biggest profit contributor after consumer electronics.
