HELSINKI, Finland, Oct. 19, 2007 (IPS/GIN) -- New communication
technologies are democratizing the media in Ghana. Indeed, anyone
with a mobile phone can now call a radio station to remind a
government minister of his pre-election promises.
This communication revolution is breaking down the strictures
of a world in which official information used to be strictly
disseminated on government-controlled radio or television stations.
Aida Opoku-Mensah, the director of information and communication
