(Volante) (U-WIRE) VERMILLION, S.D. -- When it comes to male birth control, the choices are hard to come by. Males rely on physical pregnancy prevention like condoms or even vasectomies, rather than the hormonal birth control methods.

But researchers at the University of Washington are coming closer to providing a hormonal male birth control pill.

According to MSNBC, the main concern in developing the pill is funding, but the technology and research are available. The research shows a contraceptive that releases testosterone for more than three months could be a safe and useful method of birth control. Trials are already underway.
