(Daily Trojan) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES -- Former vice president turned hyperactive uber-greenie Al Gore was recently awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, which he will split with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, for the breadth and depth of his contributions aimed toward raising public awareness of "manmade" global warming. Along with the leaders of the IPCC, Gore will receive his medal and half of the accompanying $1.5 million prize, which he said he will donate to the nonprofit Alliance for Climate Protection this December in Oslo, Norway.
