Opening Statement of Chairman Raul Grijalva Committee on House Natural
Resources Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands November
1, 2007 The Subcommittee will come to order. Today we will be receiving
testimony on H.R. 3301, the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation
Act. H.R. 3301, introduced by my good friend and colleague Representative
Ed Pastor, authorizes and directs a land exchange and conveyance of certain
National Forest land and other lands in southeast Arizona. At its heart,
H.R. 3301 seeks to convey the 3,025 Oak Flat parcel, which is currently
