STANDARD & Poor's (S&P) says Bursa Malaysia's benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) could hit 1,500 points in 2008 and expects Malaysia's economy to grow between 5.8 and 6.2 per cent next year.

According to its 2008 Asia-Pacific Markets Outlook report released yesterday, S&P has a "marketweight" recommendation on the Malaysian stock market, similar to Singapore. It is overweight on Thailand.
