Statement of Ms. Eileen Larence Director, Homeland Security and Justice
Issues Government Accountability Office Committee on House Homeland Security
November 8, 2007 Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee: I am pleased
to be here today to discuss our report on U.S. efforts to develop and use
the terrorist watch list to screen for known or suspected terrorists who
pose a threat to homeland security. The list is an important tool in the
government`s overall efforts to combat terrorism. The Terrorist Screening
Center (TSC) is responsible for maintaining the watch list and providing
