QLD: Put child sexual abuse on election agenda, says Bartlett

BRISBANE, Nov 20 AAP - Australian Democrats senator Andrew Bartlett says tackling child
sexual abuse should be on the election agenda.

The Queensland senator said all parties in the Senate had agreed, on its last sitting
day, to the Democrats' call for a royal commission into the issue.

But he said the issue had slipped off the agenda in the lead-up to this Saturday's poll.

"As part of our child protection policies, we've repeated our call for all parties
to support a royal commission into child sexual assault," Senator Bartlett said today.
