(The Daily Gamecock) (U-WIRE) COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Littered with music, magic and reality, "August Rush" hit the box office last Wednesday with mixed reviews.

To older viewers who weren't expecting such a magical voyage into the mind of a child, the movie seems at times overly whimsical. But if you let yourself get lost in the rhythm and melody of this heartfelt fairy tale-turned-vignette, it's truly something special at its core.
