WA: Sir Charles Court dies at 96

Former West Australian premier Sir CHARLES COURT has died at the age of 96.

According to the ABC he's died peacefully in his home overnight.

Sir CHARLES was the state's 21st premier from 1974 to 1982 overseeing the development
of the WA iron ore industry in the 1960s .. bauxite and mineral sands mining in the South-West
and the birth of the North West Shelf natural gas industry.
