WA: Sir Charles had a perfect life, Barry Court
PERTH, Dec 23 AAP - Former West Australian premier Sir Charles Court lived a perfect
life, his son Barry says.
Sir Charles, aged 96, died peacefully and with dignity at his Cottesloe nursing home
last night, surrounded by his family.
Survived by his wife Judy, sons Victor, Barry, Ken, former WA premier Richard and Geoffrey,
16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, he will be remembered as a dedicated family
man.
His first wife Rita, the mother of his five boys, died in 1992.
Sir Charles suffered a stroke in April, and son Richard, himself a former premier,
said he had basically worn out.
