Vic: Police seek train man in stab case

MELBOURNE, Dec 29 AAP - Detectives have released images of a man they want to talk
to in connection to a stabbing on Boxing Day.

A 33-year-old Melbourne man is in a stable but critical condition in The Alfred hospital
after being stabbed in the head and stomach in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police said the stabbing occurred at about 3.15am (AEDT) during an altercation in the
victim's bedroom in Briarfield Rd, Noble Park, in Melbourne's southeast.

Police believe the man pictured on a train is an acquaintance of the victim and may
be able to assist them with their enquiries.
