WAYNE — The aura of disappointment on Glen Rock hockey team's bench was palpable in the final moments of the Ice Vault Holiday Classic title game.
Some players put their heads down. Another smacked his stick against the board on the bench as the clock ran out and Glen Rock fell to St. Peter's Prep, 7-2.
But as tough as it was to lose big, as Glen Rock (5-5) did Sunday afternoon, this moment of defeat capped a tournament in which the Panthers exceeded the expectations of coach Sergio Fernandez.
