China to Integrate Civil Aviation Industry
BEIJING, Jan 03, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I) and China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II), the dominant two roles in the country's aviation industry, will integrate in civil aviation sector.
A consortium including China Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense is working on a plan for the integration, confirmed Gu Huizhong, vice general manager of AVIC I. A joint stock company for the country's grand aircraft program will also be set up in 2008.
