Shanghai Publishes Gold Futures Contract

SHANGHAI, Jan 04, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shanghai Futures Exchange yesterday published a series of documents regarding gold futures trading as well as standard gold futures contract.

Gold futures trade is due to start on January 9, when the futures could move 10 percent in two directions based on the benchmark price. The gold futures can be traded within a 5 percent band from the next trading day on.

The bourse will charge CNY 30 per lot on its members from January 9 to December 31, 2008, and the handling charge will be halved for six-month delivery gold ...
