07 China Retail Sales of Consumer Goods Hit CNY 8.921trn

BEIJING, Jan 25, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The total retail sales of consumer goods in China reached CNY 8.921 trillion in 2007, disclosed Xie Fuzhan, head of the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

The total retail sales of consumer goods hiked 16.8% year on year in 2007 and the growth rate increased 3.1 percentage points.

The retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas surged 17.2% to CNY 6.0411 trillion in the year and the growth rate increased 2.9 percentage points. The figure in the counties and lower administrative regions went up 19.4% to CNY 2.8799 trillion and the growth rate increased ...
