Crik: Davis scores maiden ton after last-minute call-up

SYDNEY, Jan 25 AAP - Fresh from his maiden first-class century for Western Australia
in today's Pura Cup match against NSW, rookie batsman Liam Davis said it was a good thing
he would probably be dropped for the next game.
Davis, 23, was on standby for veteran Justin Langer who was passed fit after overcoming
an abdominal injury.
Top-order batsman Shaun Marsh was also in doubt with a slight hamstring tear and was
ruled out with only about an hour left before play this morning at the SCG, leaving Davis
little option but to focus his mind on facing the new ball.
