Chinese Potash Fertilizer Price Soars
BEIJING, Feb 15, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said on February 13, 2008 that the price of potash fertilizer had been stably growing in the nation since the beginning of 2008.
For instance, price of potassium chloride fertilizer averaged CNY 2,580 per ton in January, 1.9% higher than December 2007.
Industry analysts said that several factors would help leasing the rising pressure of the price in the future.
Chinese production capacity of potash fertilizer has been greatly improved since last year. It produced 2.4988 million tons of potash fertilizer in 2007, soaring 10.6% from a year ago.
