18.136mn Shares in Huishang Bank on Auction

HEFEI, Feb 15, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Up to 18.136 million shares of Chinese regional lender Huishang Bank are put on auction on the Changjiang Equity Exchange by China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Corporation, and that would be part of the bank's effort to clear obstacles for its planned public listing, said industry insiders on February 13, 2008.

The transaction is the fifth one since 2007. An anonymous company bought 320,000 shares in Huishang Bank at CNY 5.05 apiece last July. Anhui Fengyuan Pharmaceutical (SZSE: 000153) said in June that it would sell 34.95 million shares to Anhui Fengyuan Group, but the deal ...
