(Kansas State Collegian) (UWIRE) MANHATTAN, Kan. -- With a 10-point halftime lead, it looked like No. 15 Kansas State was going to hand No. 11 Oklahoma its second straight loss.
The Sooners' sister pair of junior center Courtney Paris and junior forward Ashley Paris scored 29 points in the second half to halt the Wildcats upset bid and win 68-65 Wednesday at Bramlage Coliseum.
K-State (18-7,1 10-2 Big 12 conference) went on a 19-8 run late in the first half to establish a 38-28 lead at halftime. K-State coach Deb Patterson was pleased with the way the team defended Oklahoma and the Paris sisters through that portion of the game.
