(The California Aggie) (UWIRE) DAVIS, Calif. -- Vampire Weekend is a four-piece band of Columbia University graduates who recently rocketed to fame with the help of massive Internet hype. Of course, music critics are decidedly split on VW. Loving critics have typically described them as a delightful fusion of Afropop and indie rock. Negative reviews regard their music as mundane and made by spoiled upper-class children for - you guessed it - spoiled upper-class children.
