NSW: Gov't "not struggling" despite surge in coalition support

SYDNEY, March 5 AAP - Frontbench Labor MPs deny the NSW public has lost confidence
in the state government despite a new poll showing a surge in coalition support.

Beset with problems in health and community service and public transport in the 12
months since the 2007 election, the latest Newspoll showed the government's primary vote
had slipped five points to 34 per cent.

It also put the coalition's primary vote up two points to 39 per cent - the first time
it has exceeded Labor's primary vote in two years.
